09 - 5.3 ounces smoked salmon, sliced
10 - 1 small cucumber, thinly sliced
11 - 1 tablespoon capers, rinsed
12 - Fresh dill sprigs, for garnish
13 - Lemon wedges, for serving
# How to Make It:
01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out stars and place them on the prepared tray.
03 - Brush each star with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds evenly.
04 - Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until the stars are golden and puffed. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
05 - In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, chopped dill, chives, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.
06 - Once cooled, gently slice each puff pastry star horizontally in half. Spread a generous layer of herbed cream cheese on the bottom half.
07 - Top with smoked salmon slices, cucumber slices, and a few rinsed capers. Place the top halves back on each star. Arrange on a serving platter and garnish with fresh dill sprigs and lemon wedges.
