01 - Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
02 - Pat chicken strips dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • You get all the crunch of fried chicken without standing over a pot of bubbling oil or dealing with the mess.
  • These cook so fast that you can have dinner on the table in under half an hour, even on the most chaotic weeknights.
  • The Parmesan in the breading adds a savory depth that makes even picky eaters ask for seconds.
  • Theyre high in protein and lower in fat, so you can feel good about serving them to your family or meal prepping for the week.
02 -
  • Dont skip the oil spray, I tried it once thinking the egg would be enough, and the breading stayed pale and a little chewy instead of crisp.
  • If your air fryer basket is small, cook the strips in batches rather than crowding them, or theyll steam instead of fry.
  • Let the cooked strips rest on a wire rack for a minute or two if you can wait, it keeps the bottom from getting soggy.
03 -
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the thickest strip, guessing doneness by color alone can leave you with undercooked chicken or dried out pieces.
  • If youre meal prepping, freeze the breaded raw strips on a baking sheet, then transfer them to a freezer bag and cook straight from frozen, adding 3 to 4 extra minutes to the cook time.
  • Clean your air fryer basket right after cooking while its still warm, the oil and crumbs wipe away much easier than when theyre cold and stuck on.
